- The last we heard from the live-action drama adaptation of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was last month, when it was revealed the series would start airing in May.
- Now, we can bring you the cast information! Keiichi Maebara will be played by Yu Inaba, best known for his role in the 2015 Kamen Rider films, and his upcoming role alongside Kis-My-Ft2 member Taisuke Fujigaya in the Mars drama.
- As for the girls, Rena will be played by Minami Katou, Shion and Mion will both be played by Rika Nakai, Satoko by Reina Seiji, Rika by Hinata Homma, and Miyo by Rie Kitahara - all of course from NGT48!
