What You Need to Know:
- Back in January 2015, internationally acclaimed anime studio Gainax set up a branch in Fukushima to support the recovery efforts after the Touhoku earthquake. Now, five years after the disaster, they will be releasing their first anime!
- Titled Masamune Datenicle, it will be a historical action ONA based on a young Date Masamune, a warlord from the seventeenth century, and will be made available online after its screening in April 24. It's hoped that the anime will increase tourism in Fukushima.
- As for the cast, big names such as Ayumu Murase, Toshiyuki Morikawa, and Souichirou Hoshi will be participating in the project. It has also been revealed that utaite Amatsuki will be singing the OP!
