What You Need to Know:
- It has been revealed that Battery, which has an anime adaptation coming up this summer, will be getting a new manga serialisation starting this June.
- Originating as a novel by Atsuko Asano, the sports slice-of-life series already has a manga in serialisation by Chikage Yuniwa, but this new series will be drawn by the anime's original character illustrator, Takako Shimura.
- Shimura is best known for her manga Wandering Son, a delicate tale of transgender children which received an anime adaptation back in 2011. Check out the image below for a feel of what this new series will be like!
