- It has been revealed today that classic shoujo manga Haikara-san ga Tooru will be getting an anime movie in celebration of the series' 40th anniversary.
- First serialised in Shoujo Friend magazine from 1975 to 1977, Waki Yamato's original work follows Benio Hanamura, a girl from the Taisho era who stands out for her unwillingness to conform to gender roles.
- Details about the new film are yet to be revealed, including the staff and animation studio - all we've got so far is this rather mysterious visual! We'll be back with more information as it's released.
