What You Need to Know:
- Recently we had posted about how upcoming hot summer show Love Live! Sunshine!! had posted a warning on their site talking about how not to bother the residents of Numazu in their zeal for the show and to see the area.
- Well now, it's kinda getting better? Since January when news was beginning to break about the location of Love Live! Sunshine!! male otaku fans had begun to start visiting Numazu city in Shizuoka Prefecture. Currently it has been reported that the number of visitors to the city has quadrupled in May! 407 people came in January but over 1800 have visited in May. Residents have been quoted as saying "Groups of young men visting have drastically increased to this area."
- No doubt, this is thanks to the power of the Love Live! franchise. Thankfully though, these visitors seem to be quite respectful saying things like "I have been to Kuki City where Lucky Star was filmed and to Chichibu City where Ano Hana was done as well and I believe that Numazu City is by far the most beautiful." This has touched the hearts of the residents as they gear up expecting more residents in the Summer and while Love Live! Sunshine!! airs on television.
