For the Japanese speakers in the house, yes, the title Onara Gorou does in fact mean “Fart Gorou” in English; and yes, the show is about a fart. Moving past the necessary WTF reaction you’re having, Onara Gorou is also the name of a talking and self-aware fart, who is coincidentally “the most admirable of farts.” Although partially admirable due to his sheer size, Onara Gorou’s most admirable qualities lie in his ability to solve life’s problems and give practical advice the only way a fart can: quickly, in the ephemeral minutes of his existence. Thus, your fart jokes will only come in the short-form of five-minute episodes, probably just enough for a fart joke to be effective. Onara Gorou comes as a crowd-funded, original animation from independent creator Taniguchi Takashi, and is being produced by ILCA. Definitely quirky and unique, a talking fart might be exactly what the doctor ordered to help bring a smile to your face and provide you with all the advice you need to survive the summer blues.

Once again, Japanese speakers, stand up! A mononoke, just as in the Princess Mononoke variety, is a type of supernatural creature or yokai that exists in the living world. Our protagonist Ashiya Hanae finds himself stuck in the infirmary after a chance encounter with one of these yokai. With nowhere to turn, Ashiya seeks the help of the owner of a tearoom called the Mononokean. The owner, Abane Haruitsuki helps mononoke pass on to the other side, but he is terribly ill-tempered and morose. He refuses to help Ashiya unless he pays. When Ashiya doesn’t have the money for Abane’s help, he starts to work for Abane. What ensues is a supernatural clash of personalities in this comedy filled with cute yokai and bishounen. Not only do the lower yokai seem to employ some Pokemon-style cuteness, the yokai world itself has its own interesting design and color palette that is generally pleasing to look at. Although Ashiya appears to have a bit of a different atmosphere from his characterization in the manga, which has gained popularity as a web comic, Abane’s attitude seems like it’s going to be a win for its manga fans. Stay tuned to see all of the fun Ashiya, Abane, and their yokai friends will be having this summer!

Bananya is a cat that hides in a banana. He’s a cat in a banana. Correction: He’s a devastatingly cute cat being unbelievably cute in a banana. The merchandise is already insanely popular due to Bananya’s cuteness overload, and now we can also have moving picture versions of our most favorite cute cats that are inexplicably living in bananas. Kaji Yuki, who is also giving his voice to Ashiya in The Morose Mononokean, will be performing as Bananya and few other cool cats in this short-form anime, alongside Murase Ayumu (Hinata Shoyo, Haikyuu!!). Cat interactions are pretty great, so we can only imagine the genius that can arise from cats in bananas. “So cute I could just eat him” has never been truer than now.

Superhero parody fans, rejoice! Saiki Kusuo noΨ Nan is getting an anime adaptation! Based on a popular Shounen Jump manga, Saiki Kusuo noΨ Nan is about Saiki Kusuo, a young man who happens to possess a wide variety of supernatural powers, including telepathy and telekinesis. Before you start thinking that Kusuo is always, “Everything is awesome,” you may be surprised to learn that the young man finds his powers to be an annoying burden. If we have the manga as guide, look forward to absurd and random super-powered situations filled with parody for fighting genre fans. Some of you may be familiar with this character from his appearance in the fighting video game J-Stars Victory VS, where Kusuo appears as a playable character amongst other Shounen Jump protagonists, such as Kenshin Himura, Goku, and Ichigo Kurosaki. If the deadpan delivery of his fighting lines and flamboyant poses in the game give us any indication of what we are to expect in this anime, we have some good chuckles ahead of us. Otto, I mean, we will laugh a lot.

Superhero parody fans, rejoice again! Mob Psycho 100 brings you the story of a supernaturally gifted 8th grader, Kageyama Shigeo, a.k.a. “Mob.” Mob has been blessed with telekinetic powers from a young age. Although he has these “psychic” abilities, Mob’s still just trying to find his place in the world. Now, you might be saying to yourself, “This character design looks familiar.” Well, rejoice again and again, because this anime is adapted from a manga by ONE. Yes, the ONE who crafted One Punch Man has also created this story, in which you’ll find similar humor, action, and power-packed snippets of drama. If you were dying for a new season of One Punch Man, this new and shiny anime might be just what you are looking for to deal with your OPM withdrawal. Of course there are some differences: Instead of Madhouse, BONES will be producing Mob Psycho 100, but BONES isn’t one to disappoint. We dare you to watch this PV and tell us you’re not hyped!

LOVE! LOVE! This is the second season of the magical boy parody anime Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE! If you couldn’t get enough of the very detailed parody of the magical girl genre in the first season, get ready for Round 2 of magical boy wonder. The sheer seriousness in which these magical boys take their parody is enough on its own to get magical girl fans to tune in every week. If you know magical girls, you’ll appreciate how these boys simultaneously make fun of and live out the magical girl fantasy. LOVE! LOVE! is bringing in a new set of twins, Akihiko and Haruhiko, who are also idols, so get ready for some idol parodies on top of the magical jokes. Of course, be prepared for more shameless—and now seemingly incestuous—shipping cues that were splattered all over the first season. If you’re planning on watching this one, be prepared not to take it too seriously, and just enjoy the ensuing WTF madness of it all. Just take it all in, all the LOVE! LOVE!

So far this list has provided some pretty unique topics, and well, here comes another! Maybe you’re familiar with “fujoshi,” women who love BL (boys’ love) and/or boy x boy pairings. Well, say hello to Sakaguchi Ryou, a straight high school boy who loves BL, and is thus a “fudanshi.” What exactly is a fudanshi? Why does he love BL? What do his friends think about him? What are his favorites BL manga? Who does he ship in Free? Learn the answers to these questions, maybe, in this slice-of-life comedy centered on the high school life of a seeming rare specimen of fudanshi. Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu is adapted from a web-published manga of the same name. Although the on-going manga doesn’t seem to have many chapters, the anime will be short-form with five-minute episodes, so you can get your fudanshi laughs in a hurry. As the anime is targeted mostly at fellow fujoshi, here’s a fair warning: If you don’t want anything to do with fujoshi, steer clear. If you want everything to do with fujoshi while laughing at the gates of fujoshi hell, steer directly here, and park your car.

Fans of Barakamon and the Handa-kun manga are throwing their hands in the air banzai-style right about now. Handa-kun is the prequel to the slice-of-life comedy Barakamon, a 2014 anime about a talented calligrapher, exiled to the rural countryside with mischievous children. Handa-kun trades the wacky rural neighbors for a unique mix of high school classmates, who admire and respect Handa-kun. Unfortunately, Handa-kun mistakes this attention for bullying. How did Handa Sei become such a cynical caliigrapher? Well, this prequel might just give you the hilarious details. Barakamon’s popularity came from its ability to balance out heartwarming moments with slice-of-life gags that we have come to know and love. We might be losing some age dynamic, but having a younger version of Handa, arguably slightly more negative, might be able to set off a good balance on its own. Handa-kun is a welcome addition to our comedy list while we continue to impatiently wait for a second season of Barakamon. Welcome back, Handa-kun!

The widely popular anime, Show by Rock!!, which aired last year, following the original storyline of the original rhythm game, would have a short anime series this summer! This should be enough to tide off our thirst for the second season of Show by Rock!!. The short anime series would have the original staff and cast returning, apparently aiming to be a “carefree and enjoyable” series before the sequel comes. BONES will be handling the animation, and the key visual available is looking exceptional already. There will be a new PV every month featuring bands that would appear in the second season, and the shorts anime series itself would feature the bands from the original series, including Plasmagica and ShinganCrimsonz. Show by Rock!! is originally a rhythm game by Geechs, featuring Sanrio’s first project for older males and young adults. The game itself featured over twenty bands, though the anime that aired last year only included at least five of them. The anime followed the plot of the original rhythm game, with Hijirikawa Cyan of Plasmagica as its main character, a shy girl who is talented in music, and just happened to have the luck of getting sucked into the world of game she is playing and ends up joining Plasmagica in Midi City. The cast of Show by Rock!! will be returning for Show by Rock!! Short!!, which means Inagawa Eri, Uesaka Sumire, Numakura Manami, and Sakura Ayane are coming back as Plasmagica together! Among the cast returning also included Hayami Saori, Kayano Ai, Miyano Mamoru, Taniyama Kishow, Uchiyama Kouki, Han Megumi, and Ohsaka Ryouta. Looks like Short!! is at least going to provide us some excitement and good music before the sequel.

Lucky for you girls, Tsukiuta is giving us the idol boys for the anime instead of the goddesses! A franchise that revolves around the 12 anthropomorphized months, Tsukiuta had carved its own success through countless music and drama CDs, with songs composed by popular Vocaloid producers. The franchise also has a mobile app called Tsukino Park, which features mini-games and characters from the franchise. Studio Pierrot will be handling the animation, and the excitement for it is already in the air; there are countdown video messages from the boys, and Animate Ikebukuro would have an advanced screening of the first episode on July 2nd. While Tsukiuta originally have both male and female idol units, the anime seems to be focusing on the two male idol units: Six Gravity, with its six members representing the months December to May, and Procellarum, which members represent the months June to November. The anime would have all members of the group living in a dorm together, and each episode would be focusing on a different character. So far, Fluna and Seleas, the two female units of the franchise, have not been mentioned to appear yet. As the franchise itself has already had big successes with its CDs, the music aspects of the anime would hopefully be great, especially for those who are into Vocaloid. The seiyuu line up is, of course, simply amazing, listing top-tier seiyuu widely known to sing well: from Kaji Yuuki, KENN, Kondo Takashi, Hatano Wataru, Aoi Shouta, to Hosoya Yoshimasa—half of the seiyuus in Tsukiuta line up are also singers with their own solo singing careers. Those who are fans of these names, definitely do check Tsukiuta the Animation, and enjoy their songs!

Probably the most anticipated music anime Summer 2016 considering its huge franchise and fanbase, Love Live! Sunshine!! anime is part of the much bigger Love Live! Sunshine!! multimedia project—one that includes the game, one manga adaptation, internet TV and radio, and two released singles. Focusing on an all-new female idol group called Aqours, who are inspired by the famous school idol group µ’s, the nine high school girls formed their own idol group to try their best to save their school from closing. As a project, Love Live! Sunshine!! had been anticipated since early last year—the first teaser image was published in April 2005, and, true to the spirit of the Love Live! Projects, fans were involved in the creation of the group—from submitting possible group names, to voting, and polls on fans’ first impressions and what kind of images/activities they see of the new idols. Aqours’ first single was released on October 2015, and the second one had just been released last April, each single with a PV. They also have three different Mini Idol Unit Albums. The Aqours girls have also joined µ’s in Love Live! School Idol Festival mobile rhythm game—their cards were added to the game last January, even though the story chapters and songs would be added in July. After the huge success of Love Live! School Idol Festival project, one would have a lot of expectation and hopes for Love Live! Sunshine!!, and do far, Sunrise, Lantis and ASCII Media Work’s Dengeki G Magazine has yet to disappoint with this project. Among the beautiful voices we’re expecting to hear in Sunshine!! anime are Inami Anju, Aida Rikako, Saitou Shuka, Kobayashi Aika and Suzuki Aina. Don’t forget that the girls of Love Live! Sunshine!! are also making an appearance at Anisong World Matsuri this year at Anime Expo! Let’s all look forward to the new songs and stories Aqours would bring!

A cross-media project by MAGES, B-Project: Kodou Ambitious is a series that focuses on male idol groups under the name B-PROJECT: Kitakore, Thrive, and MooNs. The anime story would revolve around the main character, Tsubasa, who just got hired by the A&R department of the major recording company called Gandala Music, and is assigned to oversee B-PROJECT. Dealing with ten male idols with different personalities can’t be easy for her now, can it? Those who are familiar with B-PROJECT previously would have known them from the series of CDs released under each unit mentioned above—with the addition of the Killer King unit, which seems to have not been mentioned in the plans for the anime (or would it be a surprise? We’ll see.)—with none other than T.M. Revolution sitting on the chair of executive producer for the whole project. You can already listen to what kind of music this anime would bring to you through the samples provided in the website, including the opening and ending themes of the anime. There seems to also be plans for a game under this title. Of course, as it is a music anime, the music plays an important aspect, too. On the list of seiyuus who voice (as well as sing) the characters are, so far, quite a satisfying line up. We have names well-known as both seiyuu and singer, namely Ono Daisuke, Kakihara Tetsuya, and Morikubo Showtarou. In the line up are also names that would sound familiar for people who love the fictional idol genre, such as Toyonaga Toshiyuki, Natsuki Hanae, Masuda Toshiki, and Kishio Daisuke. With all the name-dropping, the anime sounds like it’s shaping up to be a very ambitious project indeed!

We start off with a big cross promotion between industries. It’s no secret that the gaming industry and anime have close ties. We get to witness this marriage with the launch of Puzzle & Dragons Cross the anime at the beginning of July and the launch of the puzzle role-playing game for 3DS in the last week of July. The world of Puzzle & Dragons Cross takes place on a Dragoza island an island overflowing with “Drop Energy”. The Shounen anime is bound to be filled with battling avatar action reminiscent of Battle Spirits and Beyblade.

The love of anime often goes hand in hand with the love of robots and cute girls. We only have to watch Macross, Infinite Stratos, and Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle to prove that point -- and that’s why we are so stoked for Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars. The action mecha anime starts airing in July and we at Honey’s can’t wait for the Actus Studio production to air. The story centers on sisters Yui and Rena who live a near idyllic life in the peaceful and tranquil kingdom of Enastria. The peace is shattered one day by the invasion of their homeland by giant mecha from a mysterious kingdom no one can remember. We can’t wait to see how these girls react to the invasion of their homeland. The PVs give us a few hints, showing us glimpses of a cast of girls leading us to believe that these slick-looking bots are moe-mecha, a very powerful force in anime. This title will attract girls and boys alike to the screen to watch cute girls pilot giant robots into battle.

A-1 pictures is one of the best studios in the animation business, producing shows such as Oreimo, Sword Art Online and Anohana. Qualidea Code is a summer release, airing in July, that’s sure to become appointment programming for a lot of us. The story follows two young men and four young women (which has some of us hoping for a harem element) with supernatural powers and their mission to protect Japan from the great enemy of humanity known as “Unknown” who began an invasion decades ago.  The children who were sent to shelters known as Cold Sleep Facilities awoke decades later to find they have acquired supernatural powers. The awoken children then use their newly found powers to help defend Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Chiba from Unknown.  We know the plot is good and the studio has an amazing track record and even better are some of the names attached to this like Kenichi Kawamura (Hunter x Hunter) directing and Hisayuki Tabata (Fate/Stay Night) working on the character design have us excited to check out this action fantasy anime.

We will once again visit the future Tokyo of Active Raid in the summer anime Active Raid 2nd.  The world of Active Raid focuses on a special unit of the police force called “Daihachi” and their attempts to combat a new kind of criminal, the super-powered one. The proliferation of new wearable technology known as “Willware” gives criminals an often armor-plated advantage over the police. The Daihachi team combats those criminals with Willware units of their own, fighting the new breed of criminal while hurdling over bureaucratic obstacles and avoiding property damage as they deal with this new way of committing crimes. The cast of characters is pretty evenly split in the gender roles, too, with an ensemble of both the handsome and kawaii. The enemy cabal pulling electronic strings behind the curtain was taken down at the end of last season and we can’t wait to see what new creative villain will surface in this techno-mecha-action-adventure series.   

We journey into a world of war where the Kiona Republic and the Katjvarna Empire are locked in combat. A peace-loving young man named Ikuta, who would rather spend his time making love and not war, is pushed to take the High Class Military Officer Exam by his friend Yatrisino. She often scolds Ikuta for being lazy, realizing he has more potential than people give him credit for. Ikuta, despite expectations, proves that he is not only a good soldier but also a great leader. We have a great recipe of childhood friend, princess, aristocrats, commoners and the heir to a formerly powerful family all at the same military school, which will likely not only bring drama with the backdrop of war but the comedy that comes from a diverse cast. We have great hopes for this anime to be full of action, explosions, love and drama, and we can’t wait to see this product of Madhouse Studios air in July.

The world of prequels is not confined to the big screen as A-1 pictures bring us The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs. The anime is a four-episode original story that takes us to a time before the human world and inhuman world were separated. The plot focuses on the more peaceful lives of the The Seven Deadly Sins, Princess Elizabeth, Hawk and Pig after they retake the kingdom of Liones. We get to see the signs of the next challenge begin to rear its head. Signs seems to be the kind of story that gives us a little insight into characters we know so well and have always wondered what they’d be doing if they weren’t battling all the time. The best news is that all of the characters seem to be taking part in this prequel, which is some solace since we don’t know when or if a full second season is going to be released.

We go less than 10 years into the future to when the Kikou begin their attack on humanity. The attack leaves many of our cities destroyed and the world feeling helpless. The Kikou Research Facility takes up the challenge by reengineering Kikou wreckage into pilotable monster robots used to defend humanity. We jump to 9 years later and a young man and young woman, Rin Sagami and Yuzuru Midou, become the first pilots of the first reengineered Kikou Muttsu. The two go into battle with the weight of the world on their shoulders as its best hope. Yes, we have heard a story similar to this before, Evangelion anyone?  The RS Project: Rebirth Storage is an action mecha scheduled for the end of June.

Arslan is the prince of Pars, a country at the crossroads of east and west. Pars is a land filled with diversity as a mixture of cultures live side by side peacefully in a land of abundant resources. A military disaster makes the country vulnerable to attack by the neighboring country of Lucitania. Arslan, not considered a strong leader, is thrown into battle with no experience as a soldier or truly leading men. With the support of his friend and subordinate, Daryun, Arslan fights for his kingdom against terrible odds. He is joined in his fight for survival by an assortment of warriors who each bring unique skills to the battlefield. Arslan Sneki is returning television in the first week of July and is being directed by Noriyuki Abe, the director of a show many of us remember called Bleach.

The Black Swordsman named Guts began his journey in 1997 and continues his quest for vengeance this summer. The series produced by Lidenfilms (Terra Formars, Arsland Senki and Yamada-kun Shichinin no Majo) is bound to have stunning visual elements in this latest version of the series. The original followed Guts, a young mercenary, as he carved out a place for himself in the world. His weapon of choice is a massive iron sword forged to kill dragons. The summer series has Guts fighting old enemies and friends during his journey to avenge betrayal. The end of the original series left many of us with a WTF feeling; will the end of this new series leave us with déjà vu? We’ll have to tune in to find out.

The release of Danganronpa 3 is something completely unprecedented that took us completely by surprise. As you may or may not know, we’ll be having two different Danganronpa arcs airing simultaneously this summer season: Mirai-hen (Future Volume) and Zetsubou-hen (Despair Volume). These are two completely different installments of the series which are closely related to the so called “most tragic and hopeless incident in human history”. We’ll have to follow these two stories to find out the truth behind such terrible and mysterious event. The first of these two installments, Mirai-hen, takes place in the future. Makoto Naegi and the rest of the 78th class that defeated Junko Enoshima now work at the Future Agency to restore a world that’s been filled with despair. In a cruel twist of events, Naegi is framed and accused of treachery. When the moment comes for the agency members to decide Naegi’s punishment, they are trapped once again by the adorable and mischievous Monokuma to play one last “Killing Game” (or “Final Koroshiai”). This time we won’t have trials or as much investigation as in the first season, but Mirai-hen is definitely going to give us a good dose of nail-biting suspense. The second part of Danganronpa 3, Zetsubou-hen, revolves around the 77th class in the elite academy Kibougamine Gakuen, prior to the “most tragic event in human history”. At this time, there are two classes in the academy; the Regular Class for extremely gifted students and the Reserve Class in which anyone can enroll as long as they pay the high fees. In this story, we’ll meet an entire new set of characters and Hajime Hinata, a Reserve Class student, as our protagonist. Hinata is a student who longs to be gifted, and such longing will lead him to a fateful meeting that will change his life, the school and the very future. It’s not entirely clear why this second season of the show is called Danganronpa 3 and not Danganronpa 2. It may very likely be so as to make a distinction between these stories (Mirai-hen and Zetsubou-hen) and the story from the visual novel adventure video game, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. It may also be because this second season is made of two arcs (thus, the first season plus these two simultaneous seasons make Danganronpa 3). It could also be both things. What’s important here, though, is that we’ll be having a lot of mystery, suspense, drama, killing and most importantly a lot of upupupu…

Planetarian is a breathtaking drama we’ll probably end up falling in love with. In a futuristic and post-apocalyptic world where rain never ceases to fall and mankind has been decimated, many of the surviving men have to make a living out of plundering junk and goods from old ruins. This is how the main character, Kuzuya, ends up inside the ruins of an old pre-apocalypse planetarium in the desolate Sealed City. While he shelters from the rain and the killing machines that watch over this abandoned city, Kuzuya meets a very special robot girl named Yumemi who is in charge of the planetarium. Planetarian is that kind of drama anime with a nostalgic vibe that makes us rethink things and approach certain life issues from a different perspective. Planetarian explores very deep concepts such as the human soul, solitude, belonging and resilience. This is the perfect story for those who enjoy character development, melancholic moods and touching music –the OST is absolutely beautiful-.

Now this show truly promises to be one of a kind. This story takes place in a fictional American city in the 1920s, where alcohol is illegal and the mafia rules the streets. This thrilling tale of crime, deception, loyalty and revenge is guaranteed to be one of the season’s highlights. 91 Days is a very dark and raw seinen that resembles other high quality titles like Gangsta, Joker Game and Black Lagoon. This is the perfect mafia story for any fan of The Godfather franchise, Scorsese’s films and for seinen fans in general. 91 Days tells the story of Avilio, a young man who comes back to his hometown, the city of Lawless, seeking revenge for the murder of his family. Taken by his rage and his thirst for blood, Avilio will infiltrate into the family that killed his parents and brother, the Vanetti family. Little by little he will get close to the son of Don Vanetti, Nero, to wreak vengeance. This is a 91 days long story that will surely take us through a roller coaster of emotions. Definitely, a must watch! 8D

Battery is a story of an unprecedented pitcher, Takumi Harada. Takumi pitches at a level that is unmatched by anyone, not even in his own country. He is not even in junior high school yet. Lamenting on the lack of a challenge almost to the point of being jaded of his skills, Takumi yearns for a catcher that will be able keep up to his pace. Then comes along Gou Nagakura. We feel that this anime follows the obvious trope of the unparalleled person and the introduction of another to complete the former. Already at a young age, Takumi is skilled at a national level. Naturally, he will soon get bored of his abilities. Simply put, we foresee another Kuroko - Aomine pairing in which both requires the other to play at their fullest potential. We predict that this anime will have more character development sequences between the two, allowing them to explore more of each other. What do you think? This is especially so since you have the jaded pitcher, who is so skilled at what he does such that the passion that was once there is now gone. But then, comes along Gou, a boy who not only changes the way the sport is played, but his viewpoint and love for the game as well. When these two are together, they complement each other and fulfill each other. Since both of them have a common interest, there is much for them to develop in the game, as well as on a personal level. Who knows, this could be the start of a relationship. You might even say that the great gods have brought them together just to play with each other. We meant baseball… but nobody can put a stop to your own creative imaginations...

Tsukushi Tsukamoto is a shy teenager. One day, while walking home, he encounters bullies. He is saved by Jin Kazama who invites him to a game of soccer since he is one player short. He is shocked when Tsukushi actually turns up with one shoe missing and an injured leg. Despite this however, Tsukushi still willingly plays the game. It didn't take the rest long to find out that Tsukushi is terrible at the game, but Jin noticed that despite having an injured foot, Tsukushi is continuously running and motivating his teammates to win. As they part, they realized that they will be heading for the same high school. From there on, they've decided to join the soccer club. Unbeknownst to them, this soccer club has a certain reputation. How will they continue this sport of soccer from now? On one hand you have a shy boy and on the other, the dependable and reliable boy. The reasons for pairing these two together are endless! Sports emphasize a lot on teamwork and affinity. The both of them will have to forge a bond so strong that it will dominate the entire playing field. Only at the pinnacle of their relationship will they truly understand each other, and effectively communicate better without the use of words. The dependable and reliable boy will form the top of the relationship with the shy one receiving the guidance and advice from the bottom. Innuendos are intentional. *winks* Based on the PV, this anime appears to also bring out the game of soccer. The crowd, the style and the determined look of each player's eyes. This is also the story of how one keen player with no skills starts from the very bottom and slowly improves with the guidance of a more experienced player. We are really counting on Days to build up the name of soccer to the viewers.

If you ever thought cheerleading is only reserved for girls, you thought wrong. Move aside girls, this season, it's time for the guys to take the stage in the acrobatic sport of cheerleading. Cheer Boys!! follows the story of a newly created cheerleading group at university for men. Haruki Bandou, a shy college freshman was invited by Kazuma Hashimoto to join Breakers, a cheerleading squad in order to honour his dead parents who were also cheerleaders. Eventually, they managed to secure another member - Shou Tokugawa, a fierce young man with extremely poor fashion sense. Rejoice, all you fujoshis! The whole lineup of characters is purely bishonen boys. If that is not already good enough, the anime PV has revealed them to not only look so delightfully cute and lovable, they have the matching body to go with it! The jumping, stretching and stunts did not just develop the boys cheerleading, but their abs as well! There's no better sensation than guys in shorts and loose shirts jumping about, revealing their abs and well-defined muscular legs. This new anime has been dubbed as the second Free!. As you all remembered, Free! was the spotlight for its season and here at Honey's we are hoping that Cheer Boys! matches the expectations. We certainly have high hopes for it and you should too!
