Takeshi comes across a girl in distress on his way to Kendo practice, and as a true hero he does so but ends up receiving more than what he bargained for. The girl wakes up from her unconscious state, accidentally giving Takeshi the ability to perform magic powers. He soon finds out that he lives between two worlds, the one he is aware of, and the one where magicians have big ambitions to live alongside non-magicians. Along his journey he encounters other magicians that he must build relationships with in order to defeat the evil Ghost Trailers, who are magicians willing to harness their power violently and assert superiority over humanity. Now Takeshi must prevent the Second Great Magic War from taking place, while learning more about himself throughout his experiences. Takeshi is a lot like Arata where he's thrown into a world where he must come to terms with, and along the way build relationships with other characters to ensure the world's survival. They initially have no idea what they're being introduced to, since the two have a random encounter with a girl who pretty much changed their entire state of being. Once they realize that their world is in peril, they start to take their new roles more seriously and help to prevent terror from consuming the world.

The world that Issei lives in is one full of perverted fantasies, peeping on women, and dreaming of running his very own harem. Most of his plans seem to be going well when he suddenly is confronted by a girl who asks him on a date. The unfortunate side to this is that the girl is actually a fallen angel who sees the opportunity to kill Issei on the spot. Things turn around once again for Issei when he's given a second chance at life but this time under the order of Rias Gremory, a top-class devil who uses him as her servant and recruits him into the Occult Research Club. Issei must now come face to face with a world that is filled with constant danger at every turn, battling demons while enjoying the ecchi lifestyle that has become his harsh reality. While both Issei and Arata are the victims of a relationship gone south, the two somehow end up in a position that they never intended to be in. Issei desired the harem life, but not forced upon him in such a way that he now must fight for his life. Both shows are full of ecchi moments and dirty jokes as both protagonists must realize there's no turning back, so their only option is to work alongside these well endowed females to make a change. A lot of fondling of breasts are seen throughout each show, which act as a motivator for each protagonist to perform better under extreme pressure. The two in the end live a life that initially was off putting, but now have a lot more purpose due to their attractive surroundings.

Main protagonist Toujo was asked by his father if he'd like a little sister in his life, which initially was his dream but not the way life had planned it out. On top of that random question which threw Toujo into a state of panic, his father then mentions he will be getting remarried. The story of Shinmai Maou no Testament follows Toujo, who now must come to face a harsh truth when he finds out the true form of his two beautiful step sisters. As you can tell from the premise of the story, both Toujo and Arata face a similar fate in which the two must embark on a dangerous journey, and learning new responsibilities along the way. They both find themselves in a harem scenario where they're surrounded by powerful females who use their ecchi behavior to keep the boys in check. All of this course doesn't come without some comedy, as both shows despite having to deal with an evil enemy, have a lot to laugh about especially when Toujo fumbles about trying to adapt to this new world.

Ryuu Yamada enrolls into Suzaku High School, in hopes that he can start anew and lead a productive school life where no one would know of his troublesome past. Ryuu has reverted to his old ways due to his new surroundings becoming a bore, until one day Ryuu encounters the beautiful Urara Shiraishi. A misstep causes them to fall down the stairs, ending in an accidental kiss, and the two soon discover they can switch bodies with a kiss. Coming to terms with their new power, Toranosuke, a student council officer and sole member of the Supernatural Studies Club, takes them under her wing. Soon joined by Miyabi, the group unearths the legend of the Seven Witches of Suzaku High, seven female students who have obtained different powers activated by a kiss. Their new quest is to now discover the real identities of all the witches. Ryuu just can't seem to get a break in his life until something enters his life without warning, throwing him into a whirlwind of new experiences. Similar to Kasuga, the two find themselves dealing with 7 females who all have extraordinary powers, and must use them to extinguish evil from the world in which they live. Both introduce harem into the story with Ryuu's life focusing more on romance, while Arata deals a lot more with perversion. They both must adapt on the fly, and learn to understand the truth behind all that's happening around them, changing their perspective on life forever.

One of the more recent harem action anime is Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut. We follow Lux, a former prince of the Arcadian Empire that was overthrown via a rebellion five years earlier. By accident, he finds himself in a female dormitory's bathing area, observes the kingdom's new princess Lisesharte in her natural state, resulting in her lashing out. After this embarrassing ordeal, she then challenges Lux to a Drag-Ride duel. Lux was labeled as the strongest Drag-Knight, but now he's known as the "undefeated weakest" Drag-Knight because he refrains from attacking in battle. After his duel with Lisesharte, Lux ends up attending the female-only academy that trains royals to be Drag-Knights. Lux just can't seem to get himself out of trouble, always running into obstacles that he must somehow overcome. Fortunately for him, he gets to live out his life with beautiful girls in a harem style environment. Lux is picked on by all of them, but eventually must put all insults aside in order to reclaim his title as the strongest Drag-Knight. All of this course doesn't come without some ecchi to really liven things up, and so throughout the show you'll see skirts lifted, chests exposed, and a lot of moaning and groaning to keep you glued to the screen. The show definitely showcases a large handful of action to go along with all of the “sound effects” that you'll hear throughout, and it truly brings the show to life in a great way.

Strike the Blood stars Kojou Akatsuki, as his life as an ordinary high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island, comes to a halt after a fateful encounter bestows him with the superhuman abilities of a vampire. He is then catapulted into a myriad of uncertain events, and discovers that he's the fourth primogenitor, who many have said to be a legendary vampire who wields incredible power. The Lion King Organization is ordered to call upon apprentice sword-shaman, Yukina Himeragi, to survey him in fear of Koujo's destructive powers, and should he become a threat, to kill the boy immediately. The two must now form an unlikely alliance as Kojou comes to terms with his abilities and they both struggle to protect the city from various emerging chaotic forces. Kojou is granted a power which he'd never imagined possessing in his entire life, and must now team up with hot girls to battle the forces that oppose them. Both Arata and Kojou didn't necessarily wish for these events to happen, but end up in a pleasing scenario with a bunch of powerful women as their allies to fend off evil. Whenever the two are confronted by the girls, flirtation always transpires which leads to nosebleeds or someone getting punched in the gut for their perverted behavior. Both shows offer up a great amount of humor with Kojou being the more dry of the two, while Arata just doesn't care what he says and wishes that he could see more boobs in action.

Claudio is the head waiter of Casetta Dell'Orso, the restaurant owned by Nicoletta’s mom. His complete name is Santo Claudio Paradiso, but everyone just calls him Claudio. Like the rest of the employees of the restaurant, he wears glasses, which actually fit him well. He is probably in his late 50s, but he looks younger, since he’s gentle and such a fancy man. Even though he is divorced, he still wears his wedding ring, because he doesn’t want women trying to seduce him. Claudio immediately becomes Nicoletta’s love interest, but it seems that he still has feelings for his ex-wife and doesn’t want to give Nicoletta false hope. He has a beautiful but slightly sad smile that only makes Nicoletta care more about him.

Well… his complete name is United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but friends usually call him England or Britain. His human name is Arthur Kirkland (so British right?). Although he was raised to be a pirate, he chose to be a gentleman. But he still has a sharp-tongue and a potty mouth, using British expressions like “bloody” or “git”. England has an unusual relation with France, they love and hate each other and even though they deny it, they’re close friends (more than friends in France’s dreams). England also raised America as a brother, but then America declared his independence fighting against him, leaving England totally heartbroken. He becomes romantic and nostalgic at night, mostly when he drinks, but since he is a gentleman, by the morning he’ll show composure and pretend nothing happened. He is always trying to avoid uncivilized behaviors, seeking refuge in manners and tradition. And of course, nothing is going to prevent him from drinking his afternoon tea.

How can we not love him? He is not only a gentleman, but a prince. Mamoru, or Mamo-chan, is a stoic and introverted young man who lost his parents on a car crash when he was a boy. This accident made him block all his childhood memories but unblocked his past life memories as Prince Endymion. Since he remembers his previous life, he created and alter ego named Tuxedo Mask, for hunting the Silver Crystal and protecting the Sailor Senshi. When he is playing Tuxedo Mask, he is not only a gentleman, he also dresses like one. He wears a tuxedo (of course he does), a top hat, a white mask, a cape and a cane. His trademark is a red rose, which he also uses as a weapon. Soon after getting his memories back, he is kidnapped by Queen Beryl, who uses him for her evil plans. When he finally becomes Usagi’s official boyfriend, his personality changes to calm and kind.

He is a former detective of the International Bureau of Investigation who now works as a sweeper and is Train Heartnet’s partner. He is always kind and respectful to women and children, following a strict “gentlemen’s code”. Sven took Eve as a daughter after what happened at Torneo’s place. He’s far more logical and calmer than Train. As he doesn’t have Black Cat's power, Sven is a very creative thinker, using his brain to win the battles. He never loses his temper, even in the most dangerous situations. In many occasions he got seriously injured, but he never betrayed his codes. He also has a vision eye, which was transplanted from his partner Loyd, a clairvoyant. This eye later evolves into to Glasper Eye.

Shouta is Sawako’s classmate, and one of the sweetest and kindest boys you could ever meet. Due to his friendly attitude and his good looks, he’s the most popular in the class. He met Sawako the first day of school, when he was lost and Sawako showed him the way to school. He fell in love with her immediately when he saw her smiling. Shouta is so popular among girls, that they formed an Alliance called “Kazehaya is Everyone's” to preserve the peace between all the admirers. But this sweetie only has eyes for Sawako, and after a lot of misunderstandings they finally begin to date. But he’s not only attractive to girls; many boys also admire him and long to be his friend. He is very jealous when it comes to Sawako, and also hates rumors, because they’ve hurt Sawako in the past.

Also known as “The Prince” or “Prince Yuki”, he is a beautiful and refined boy. He is so pretty, that he looks like a girl. Because of his delicate looks, he tends to feel insecure and has problems socializing, not knowing how to talk to people. However, he always keeps calm and cool and usually is very formal when he speaks with others. Like every member of the Souma family, Yuki keeps a secret: he has the ability, rather the curse, to transform into a rat, one of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Thus, even though he is popular among the girls, he must avoid them so as not to transform. Despite of his traumas, he is talented in everything he does, except cooking and cleaning. When he first met Tooru Honda, he was polite to her and they quickly became good friends. That night, he found Tooru climbing into her tent and he couldn’t stand seeing a girl having a bad time, so he invited her to live with him and Shigure.

He is the coolest, smartest and most handsome student of his class, and probably of the entire school, and probably of all Japan, and probably… ok I should stop here. Sakamoto is the human closest to perfection that has ever existed. Even though all the girls fall for him, Sakamoto seems not to show interest in any of them. He is just a perfect gentleman with everyone. He helped Kubota when he was being bullied and when the girls were fighting for his attention he faked being possessed, and made the girls work together in other to bring him back. No matter what, Sakamoto is always one step ahead and he seems to know what is going to happen. He always does the right thing, at the right time and with all the style in the world. He also has a variety of “secret skills” which allow him to do a lot of difficult and strange things that nobody else can do. If you ever have a problem, just call Sakamoto, he can make everything seem possible.

This anime is full of handsome and sexy guys, but if we are talking about real gentleman, Kaname gets all the credit. He is a pureblood vampire who saves Yuki when she was a child. He always took care of her, and now that she is a woman, Kaname fell in love with her. He is the president of the Night Class, the class where all of the students are vampires. He is feared and respected by his classmates, since he’s cold and a man of few words. Kaname longs for the peace between human and vampires working alongside the Chairman for making it possible. He is able to control lesser vampires, but he chooses not to do it, respecting both vampires and humans. Usually he is calm, elegant and arrogant, but he completely changes his character when he is around Yuki; he becomes gentle and caring. He never hides the fact that anything he does is for Yuki’s sake.

He is the founder and the president of the Host Club, and therefore he is considered by the rest of the members as “The King”. He is half French, half Japanese, and has blonde hair and blue eyes that make him the “prince type”. Even though he may be emotional, dramatic, and fancy, he is a charming gentleman with girls, and especially with Haruhi. Tamaki is totally in love with her, but he doesn’t realize it, and plays the role of Haruhi’s father. Tamaki is completely devoted to the Host Club and to his friends. He has a noble and caring heart, and he just can’t stand to see anyone suffering. He’ll do anything to make the female guests happy. That works really well, since he is the most requested member of the Host Club. He is also a talented pianist, and even though he looks goofy sometimes, he is surprisingly intelligent.

Finally we reach the first position of the list, and who else would be there if not him? Sebastian is so perfect that it’s hard to describe him only using words. Ok, he is a demon, but who cares, he is sexy, elegant, manly and skilled in every subject. He describes himself as “One hell of a butler”, which in Japanese is a play on words for “a demon and a butler”. His physical appearance is that of a tall, handsome man with black hair and red eyes . He’s always wearing his spotless butler outfit, which suits him perfectly. Sebastian is totally devoted to his master, Ciel Phantomhive, following every order Ciel commands saying “Yes, my lord” with one of the sexiest voices you could ever hear. This amazing man also speaks French, Latin and Deutsch. He is a controversial character, he can be really sadistic, but he’ll never lose his manners.

Zasalamel is a somewhat flighty character in the Soul series. He didn’t make his appearance on the roster until Soulcalibur III, and stayed on it for Soulcalibur IV as well as its portable remake Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. As a man, he follows his convictions at all costs and makes alliances with no one. Hopefully, his status as a loner doesn’t prevent him from being left out in future games. Though not a recurring character as most, Zasalamel is a fan favorite in both Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV. He is after all the only character wielding a full on deathscythe and who doesn’t love one of those? Despite having the ability to draw a character into close range his attacks are heavily focused for mid to long-range combat. He does decent damage, but it’s extremely hard to string together a long combo. As a result, he’s a character best suited for more experienced players.

Appearing first in Soulcalibur and returning for each title since, Maxi has proven himself to be a thrilling fighter. He’s fast, flashy, and truly cuts a fine figure in the arena. Maxi's fighting is similar to that of a Jeet Kune Do practitioner. His attacks are extremely fast and chain together in incredibly high hit count combos that will put a lot of pressure on an opponent. However, such speed comes from the fact that his weapon of choice, the nunchaku, have an extremely short range. Besides the need to close the gap between your enemy, while playing with Maxi, one must always be careful around the edge of a stage, especially newcomers. His combos have him jumping through the air and drumming on the air in crazy displays of skill, which also tend to fling him over the edge or leave him open to a counter. Thankfully, his kicks and throwing maneuvers keep him and his opponents in check.

It wasn’t until Soulcalibur II that Raphael made his debut appearance. Born into the noble Sorel lineage, Raphael can present himself as quite the pretentious and haughty character. Never one to back down from an insult, Raphael pierces his enemies with both rapier and word. Despite being an antagonistic character in most titles, and quite the frustrating one at that, he does have a tremendous amount of love for his foster daughter, Amy. Fast and taunting, Raphael is a great character to choose if you want to troll your friends. This is especially true in Soulcalibur II when his regular thrust attack (triangle button) could be mashed alone until victory was achieved. Yes, a tactic for newcomers and really only effective against other noobs and the computer. However, in competitive battles his defensive abilities can practically shut down most players, when in the right hands. Honestly, just picking him is enough to get a groan from a friend.

Haunting almost every single installment of the Soulcalibur series is the infamous Voldo. Whether or not you care to admit it, you’ve probably tried your hand at playing with Voldo once. This gangly mass of limbs and prominent codpiece is a terror that’s hard to take your eyes off. With a quirky, body-bending fighting style, which is accompanied by the most guttural hisses and grunts, Voldo’s attacks are some of the most interesting to play around with in training. His body simply moves in terrifying ways and can string together some surprising combos. He is, after all, the only character who can attack with his back facing you, and despite having an extremely short range and a knack for missing faster opponents, most still consider him high-tier character.

Mitsurugi is one of the most well-known characters in the entire Soulcalibur franchise having appeared in each title since Soul Edge in 1995. Despite only wanting to be the strongest, Mitsurugi is a surprisingly honorable and neutral character. He literally wants to be strong for the sake of being strong and has no other motive, good or bad, for seizing power. In fact, in one ending, he denies Soul Edge as a source of power claiming that true power can only come from the warrior. A recurring character since Soul Edge, Mitsurugi is a strong and stable character. His speed and power are extremely well-balanced and his strikes, especially his low attacks, can be chained together to devastating effect when handled correctly. However, he isn’t the easiest character to run around with for newcomers. Not as quick and flashy as some nor as brutally powerful as others, Mitsurugi is best for those who understand how to navigate the battlefield and strike with precision.

An honorable title from the Manji clan, Yoshimitsu is actually the name given to the clan’s leader. Nonetheless, those who have claimed such a title have proven themselves to be honorable and kind-hearted through and through. In battle, they are even quite comedic as they pull off insane antics. Competitively, Yoshimitsu is pretty similar to Mitsurugi. His style is well-balanced and is more focused on navigating the field to strike. However, when playing for fun or training, Yoshimitsu is very much a wild child. His techniques are wild and flashy, ranging from using his sword as a pogo stick to spinning it fast enough to hover above the ground. Though his attacks aren’t as creative as let’s say Voldo’s move set, he is definitely less offensive to the eyes.

Appearing first in Soulcalibur II, Yun-seong took on the fighting style of his predecessor Hwang Seong-gyeong. A handsome and fiery man, whose legwork is just as skillful as his swordplay, Yung-seong clearly deserves the nickname “The Patriot of the Flashing Leg.” Yun-seong is the perfect choice for people who prefer speed, or happen to be tae-kwon-do aficionados. His feet are deadly and the speed behind several of his attacks make him a flashy and fun first pick for many players starting out. His kick combos in particular are easy and enjoyable to unleash, as he flings himself across the stage. Admittedly, the simplicity behind his strength has led many in the competitive world to call him a “cheap “character, as players can claim victory through button smashing.

Though not in Soul Edge, Kilik has been a beloved protagonist in every subsequent title of the Soulcalibur series. The quintessential good guy, Kilik mainly portrays himself honorably in both word and deed. Often he hides himself away when he believes his power has gotten out of hand, and is one of the more rigorous when it comes to training. If you can’t tell by the picture above, the guys a looker and his style in combat is just as impeccable. Famed for using a Kali-Yuga, a lengthy bo staff, Kilik’s skills are perfect for fluid combos and attacks that keep your enemies at a safe distance from yourself. His tactics are extremely easy to adapt to for most beginning players. At the same time, his attacks are the easiest to destroy inexperienced players with as they will never be able to get close to him.

The primary antagonist of Soul Edge as well as a force of chaos to be reckoned with in almost every single title, Cervantes is a badass. He is foul-mouthed, cruel, and immortal (as evident by his nickname “The Immortal Pirate). He also happens to be the father of the similarly vicious Ivy. Visibly, Cervantes is a man to be reckoned with. Cloaked and dressed as a ghost pirate with all the accouterments, you know you’re dealing with a man of action and adventure. Brutally overpowered in some of the Soulcalibur games, Cervantes decimates his opponents with his sword and dagger/dirk swordplay. His moves are aggressive and, in the hands of an experienced player, almost too fast and powerful to defend against. Nonetheless, he is an extremely enjoyable character to play, especially for those wishing to dabble on the dark side.

This duo represents the essence of the Soulcalibur series. When seen separately in the newest of the series, they are the absolute essence of light vs. dark. However, these two have been so entwined in the past that they also represent the moral decay that ties itself so well into the series. Siegfried was after all the first person to become Soul Edge’s host and turn into the Azure Knight (aka Nightmare). Both of these characters for the most part are slow powerhouses, with the exception of Nightmare in Soulcalibur IV, where an unseen speed accompanied his attacks to the point of being overpowered. Despite having similar strength and speed for most of the titles, the two do depend on different strategies in battle. Siegfried's fighting style depends on one’s ability to memorize his vast array of moves and stances to confuse the opponent. Nightmare on the other hand is a bit more user friendly and relies on guard breaking. Overall, both are extremely attractive to newcomers to the series as they are visual representations of the “white” and “dark” knight respectively, with Siegfried donning glorious crystal-like armor and Nightmare being a mesh of dark aura.

Haruko is the amazing woman who gave birth to Haru! She is so beautiful and full of energy that it's scary. She is half-Japanese but lived in Canada, and is the one who decided to adopt little Ren. Haruko is an adorable woman. First of all, she is always energetic, so much so that she seems much younger than she actually is. She is eccentric and has a very strange relationship with her son, Haru. Basically, when Haruko and Haru's dad divorced, Haru was sent to Japan with his dad. From that moment onward, Haruko and Haru never contacted each other, until... Haruko decided she wanted Haru back in Canada for summer, to take care of Ren. Haru never felt like he was abandoned by Haruko, and even though Haruko never called him, she always knew how he was doing in Japan. Well, that's just to explain how much of an eccentric woman she is! At the beginning of the show, she is a novelist who doesn't know how to respect her deadlines and it's funny to see how nervous and choleric she can get. For as cold as she can seem, she took Ren in and cared for him, probably because he reminded her of Haru. We just love this woman, it's impossible not to: she hates when Haru calls her “mother”, and severely punishes him whenever he forgets to name her “Haruko-san”.

“Eccentricity” seems to be the key-word in Super Lovers, maybe more than “cuteness”. It's now the turn of this beautiful girl... No, wait. Seiji “Kiyoka” Takamori is actually a boy. He is Haru's high school friend and he loves to cross dress. He was the cause of a lot of misunderstandings in the beginning, can you guess why? When Haru broke the news that someone else would run the bar at night, and introduced Kiyoka, Ren suddenly started to feel insecure, thinking that maybe Haru preferred those kinds of girls. That was a cute misunderstanding that showed how much Ren cared for Haru. Kiyoka, however, realizing the kind of relationship that the older and the younger brother shared, couldn't help to speak his mind. It's fun to see how Kiyoka can be very nice with everyone, except that with Ren. He likes to tease him, probably because Ren can be easily influenced. What can we say? We like a character who is a little mischievous, that's why Kiyoka ended up in this list!

Juuzen Kurosaki has the appearance of a yankee, with his half-bleached head. Actually, he is a very normal boy, with an outgoing and friendly personality. Well, he managed to befriend Ren... We guess this explain very well how much of an outgoing character he is. Juuzen, too, was the victim of a huge misunderstanding. When Haru brought Ren at school on his first day, he kissed him before leaving. Juuzen saw everything, but before asking for explanations, he sat behind Ren for three days in the classroom, glaring at his back. Finally when the two manage to start a conversation, Juuzen asks Ren who is that foreigner (Haru) and if he is Ren's boyfriend. Ren answers as if it's all normal, but never says clearly that Haru is actually his brother. And so Juuzen keeps on misunderstanding everything, the poor thing! Even though Juuzen thinks Ren is weird somehow, he becomes his close friend; he is so patient that he manages to keep up with Ren's strangest thoughts. Yet, he is the only one Ren talks to at school... and that's to be considered a huge goal with Ren.

Ikuyoshi Sasaki is probably the most genuine character in the Super Lovers universe. He was a host, during the time Haru was a host as well. When Haru quit, though, he quit as well, since he always admired Haru and followed along with his idea to open a restaurant. What can we say about Ikuyoshi? First of it all, he isn't treated kindly by Haru, who is the object of his admiration. That's just a pretense, though, as Haru cares a lot about him. They are friends from high school and Ikuyoshi is probably the only friend who never left Haru's side. He comes from a family of farmers, and when he decides to support Haru with the restaurant, his family became one of the suppliers for “White Fang”. Ikuyoshi's innocence shows up whenever he catches Haru and Ren doing something that two brothers aren't supposed to do. His reactions are cute, as he blushes and goes all jumpy. Eventually, he gets used to Haru and Ren's displaying of affection, and grows very fond of Ren. Ikuyoshi's feelings are always expressed upon his face; he can't hide anything and doesn't even try. We really love his candor!

Takamura-sensei is the school nurse for Souryou High. He is a handsome man with black eyes and hair. Even though he has a medical license, he works at school as a nurse. Takamura is apparently a laid-back person. He always looks like he is slacking off, and boring. Truth is, he is a very caring person. For as laid-back as he can seem, there's still something that can make him jump. When Ren had a nosebleed, and Juuzen made him discover the “self-pleasure” world, that was the moment when Takamura-sensei became something like Ren's mentor. He asked Takamura-sensei every kind of nasty questions, and those where the moments when Takamura showed his emotions clearly. Basically, he doesn't want to be bothered by snotty brats who have questions about sex life, and stuff. He is just the school nurse, and as such, he just wants to do his job. That's a side of him we find very cute, as it makes his true character surface!

Aki and Shima Kaidou are twins and half-brothers to Haru, as their mother was married with Haru's father. Aki is the older twin, and a very rude character. He shows no respect toward the others, and manages to lose his temper whenever he gets a chance to. When Haru had the car accident where their parents died, Aki blamed it on Haru. Later on, when Haru brought Ren in Japan and announced that he wanted all the brothers to live together, Aki was hostile toward their new adopted brother. As we said, Aki is the more brash of the four brothers. Even though he is rude, there's a flip side showing that he is just a “tsundere” type who doesn't know how to be sincere. In fact, he overcame his hostility towards Ren and actually started to show how much he cared about him. He loves his older brother Haru, and that's why he felt like Ren would take him away and couldn't accept him (does anyone see a brother complex here?). He shows to be possessive with his twin as well; when Shima starts to tutoring a girl and goes out of his way one night when she appeared in front of their house, Aki was mad at Shima, showing a jealousy out of the ordinary. Yet, with his cute face, he can be easily forgiven!

Now, let's talk about Aki's younger twin! Shima is the exact opposite of Aki. For starters, in his appearance. Even though they’re twins, Shima's hair aren't messy and he wears casual-formal clothing. Maybe because he wears glasses, but he looks quite mature. As for his character, well we already said how he is opposite to Aki. Shima is responsible, composed, calm and serious at whatever he does. He is very kindhearted and, moreover, understanding. We can say that he is the more mature of the three brothers. His peculiarity is that he stays silent all the time, and he observes people and situations around him, and then when he speaks, he does without spouting nonsense, but only saying what he actually understood after so much examination. He didn't have any problems at accepting Ren within the family, and suddenly became supportive and acted like an older brother should toward him. Ren, realizing how Shima is the only one looking objectively at things, relies on him a lot and asks for advice, and Shima is willing to help Ren, and support the other two brothers as well. He is just over cuteness!

Haru Kaidou is an adorable airhead. He lived in Canada with his mother until he was 8-year-old, and then he was sent off to Japan with his father and his new wife, becoming suddenly an older brother having to take care of his two twins little brothers. He looks like a foreigner, due to his blonde hair and green eyes, and he was bullied during school days. When Haru's parents died in a car accident, he had the hardest time of his life, having to face the twin’s recriminations and his own sense of guilt. However, when he overcame all that dark period, he decided to work hard to be able to live with his brothers someday. Haru seems to be very cheerful and easygoing, but actually he doesn't easily say what he really feels. He was captured by Ren from the first moment they met, as Ren reminded Haru of himself. When Haru was called by Haruko in Canada, and she introduced him Ren, for Haru it was like having to train a little dog. He taught him how to bathe, how to properly eat at the table, how to sleep in a proper bed. Then, later on, that brotherly feeling became something else, so when Ren finally moved in Japan and the four brothers started their cohabitation, Ren and Haru started to show their affection toward each other publicly. Haru is 24-year-old so we would expect a somewhat mature guy, having to take care of his brothers. Sadly, it's not the case with him, as Ren proves to be way more mature than him, making him see things differently whenever Haru seems to be at a loss. That's what we like about Haru and find adorable; how he worked hard just to provide for his brothers, and finally live together with all of them!

Ren Kaidou is the adopted little brother. He was picked up by Haruko, who was unable to tame this little beast. That's why she called back in Canada his son, Haru, to help her and take care of Ren and civilize him. Ren fell in love with Haru probably the moment he met him. Maybe because Haru played with him, and took the time to teach him how to do a lot of things, or simply because Haru tended an ear, when no one else was actually listening to what Ren was trying to convey with his silence. Ren is very straightforward and honest with his feelings. He doesn't try to hide what he feels toward Haru, not even once. Ren keeps a poker face, and yet when he is around Haru he shows emotions clearly. There are times when he doesn't want to bother Haru with what he considers stupid questions, but he can't manage to lie or faking to feel good, and so he ends up speaking his mind. He has a very good relationship with the twin brothers as well. With Aki, he had to struggle to get to understand him, and get along. With Shima he had no problem at all. He likes Shima and his way of approaching situations, that's why whenever Haru makes him mad, or he has questions that need a serious answer, he runs to Shima. Another adorable trait is Ren's affinity with dogs, probably due to the fact that he was surrounded by dogs back in Canada and grew up with them. Long story short: he is the cute little brother that probably everyone would like to have around!

The first, indisputable, position is all Tanuki's. There's a sad story behind little Tanuki's life. When Haru lived alone in an old apartment, his landlord was an old man whose name was Onodera. Onodera kept on saying how he had a “raccoon dog”, under his house and kept feeding it, even though it didn't come out. One day, the “raccoon dog” finally came out from under the house, it didn't look like a “raccoon dog” at all. It looked more like a Pomeranian. However, the old landlord Onodera had to be hospitalized for some time because of a foot injury, so he asked Ren to take care of Tanuki until he recovered. Ren, of course, took care of Tanuki with much love and dedication, and Tanuki grew very fond of the Kaidou family. Seeing the situation, Onodera let Tanuki stay with the Kaidos even he recovered. Once, Ren decided to go searching for Tanuki's owner, thinking that if someone had lost it, they probably would be very worried right now. From his research, Ren discovered that Tanuki's previous owner was an old man who had died some time before. Ren, somehow, identified with Tanuki. Actually, Tanuki acted exactly like Ren acted when he was little; it hid, didn't show itself, and stayed quiet. So Tanuki's loneliness became Ren's own loneliness. In no time, Tanuki became the Kaido's mascot, and a completing part of the family!
