The 3rd Season of Nobunaga no Shinobi.
Nobunaga Oda’s beloved younger sister, Oichi, has been married to Azai Nagamasa. However, Azai cannot avoid the clash between the Asakura and Oda armies.
Now, at the large-scale battlefront for the Battle of Anegawa where if one strays for even a moment, they will lose everything, Chidori has awoken with tears. This is no longer a battle where one can unify the nation by force! One will now have to strike down their own adopted brothers!!
Three Episode Impression
[ua_synopsis text="This show is kinda like doing speed and trying to read about Japanese history, while listening to your favorite comedian. It’s just nonstop jokes about Nobunaga as he slowly but surely takes over Japan. Chidori is a bit of an open book and about 90% an idiot which helps the humor move forward very quickly. The fun thing about it is that if you can keep up with how fast everything is moving, because this show flies at you at about 90 miles an hour, you can learn a lot about the Sengoku Era and Nobunaga Oda’s contribution to Japan to help form what is modern Japan today. Funny how the history itself started more than 400 years ago. The anime is cute and we will keep watching for sure. "][en]Characters & Voice Actors List[/en][es]Personajes & Seiyuus[/es]

This is the 2nd season of Gurazeni.
Natsunosuke Bonda, 26, single, is a left-handed mid-relief & sidearm pitcher belonging to the professional baseball team the Jingu Spiders. He became a professional right out of high school and his annual income is 18 million yen (~$169,000). He’s a player who is never going to be referred to as a ‘top tier pitcher.’
‘I don’t know how long I can keep this up after I turn 30.’
‘Only a handful of those who retire become coaches or commentators.’
‘Some people fail to make more than 1 million yen (~$9300) a year after they’ve retired .’
‘Pro baseball players have to save up their earnings now while they can!’
As he stares down the harsh reality facing him, he utters a certain phrase over and over.
‘There’s money buried under the pitcher's mound!’
Today too, Bonda stands on the pitcher's mound and dreams of ‘Gurazeni’ (ground money) !

[Anime Culture Monday] What is Sakuga? [Definition, Meaning]

We all know it when we see it - that moment in an anime when the animation suddenly transforms from its normal, plain self into a fluid, amazingly beautiful spectacle that takes our breath away. It might be a pivotal battle, a long-awaited love confession, or (fittingly enough) a magical girl transformation. And then, when it’s finally over, we pick our jaws up from the floor and marvel at what we witnessed. What just happened? and, why can’t anime be like that all the time? This momentary leap in animation quality is called “sakuga”, which literally translates to “drawing pictures”. But in industry terminology, sakuga refers to these special segments of an anime that the studio dedicates a disproportionate amount of money and effort to so that they’ll look absolutely astounding. These moments tend to be the most important parts of the show, like opening themes and the aforementioned fights, story climaxes, and transformations. Showrunners want to leave a lasting impression on viewers by putting the animators’ effort where it really counts – in these concentrated moments of pure aesthetic pleasure.
Outstanding Openings
It’s almost universal throughout all anime that some of the best animation will be used in the opening theme. After all, this is the first impression that viewers get when they start watching, and it’s a great chance for the studio to show all that this series has to offer. Spectacular battles, snippets of important scenes, dances, magic, or whatever else they want the anime to be known for. And since the opening is repeated every episode, that hard work certainly won’t go to waste.
Soul Eater

In a gothic-inspired world where monsters and witches terrorize the populace, there’s only one way to fight back. Demon weapons, who are humans that can transform into things like scythes or guns, partner with their wielders (called meisters) to keep Death City safe. The Death Weapon Meister Academy, led by Lord Death himself, teaches pairs of teenagers to work together as meister and weapon. We follow Maka and Soul, a meister-weapon duo who face new challenges when they learn that an ancient evil is sleeping underneath the city. Soul Eater is a highly stylized show, evoking Western comics and Halloween imagery more than traditional anime designs. Its first opening, Resonance, is well-known as one of the best anime openings ever because of its upbeat, spooky tune and the fast-paced action that moves perfectly to the beat. By putting so much time and effort into this opening, Studio Bones were able to show off fluid movement and impressive camera work that promised viewers a fun, slightly dark shounen anime overflowing with effortless style from beginning to end.
Soul Eater – Official Opening 1 – Resonance
Pivotal Plot Points
For the most vital points in an anime’s story, studios want to make these moments memorable by pulling out the best animation they can muster. They’ll show every conflicted emotion on a character’s face when they reveal a big plot twist, every small hitch of breath during a declaration of love. If done well, these scenes can last forever in the memories of every fan.
Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride)

In an idyllic recreation of modern England, magic and sorcery lies just underneath the surface. An enigmatic mage named Elias buys a depressed Japanese girl named Chise at an auction (don’t think about it too much) and hopes to raise her as his apprentice and eventual bride. Little by little, Chise and Elias explore this mysterious world of dragons and fae folk and learn more about each other every day. Even though this anime has gorgeous animation all the time, Chise’s return home to Elias in episode 12 was nothing short of breathtaking. Her clothes shift and ripple from the abundance of magic, the fire spirits cast soft shadows on her face, and her graceful dance through the sky pairs beautifully with the remixed opening theme playing over the entire scene. When we first saw her explode out of the ribbons of fire into Elias’ waiting arms, we knew their relationship was something special.
Chise Takes Flight | The Ancient Magus’ Bride
Meticulous Movies
This is cheating a bit, since anime movies have astronomically higher budgets than weekly TV shows, but it’s true that studios pull out all the stops when it comes to movies. Whether it’s a standalone film or a special addition to a normal anime series, these works are designed to impress the viewer. Perhaps the most famous would be Studio Ghibli films, which incorporate hand-painted backgrounds and exhaustively researched settings to fully immerse the viewer in their fantastical worlds. But of course, they’re not the only ones who can serve up sakuga in movie form.
AKIRA

Akira is one of the original masters of sakuga. The entire movie was animated at 24 frames per second, which is much higher than the standard rate for animated movies. This phenomenally labor-intensive technique made every moment of this classic movie look fluid, realistic, and downright amazing. Special mention goes to the motorcycle chase from the beginning and Tetsuo’s grotesque transformation near the end. The sheer amount of talent and man-hours that went into the making of this movie is staggering, and it shows in every single frame.
AKIRA – 25th Anniversary Edition – Coming Soon – Trailer
The Leftovers
As for why an anime can’t have this high standard of quality throughout its entire runtime, we have to take a quick look at how much money anime studios have to produce their shows. Unlike American studios, which receive from $350,000 up to multiple millions for each episode, Japanese studios only get around $123,000 to $300,000 per episode. This means that anime has to take shortcuts to save money for their important sakuga scenes. Tactics include only animating eyes and mouths in a dialogue scene, outsourcing work to inferior studios, reusing footage, airing embarrassingly bad animation on TV and then cleaning it up for the Blu-Ray and international releases, and much more. This kind of corner cutting was especially prevalent in the days of hand-drawn cel animation, but still continues to this day. In the modern anime landscape, where the tedious process of hand-drawing each frame isn’t necessary anymore, it’s easier than ever for studios to create higher quality animation at a low price. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean that every show made these days can be sakuga-tastic. In fact, the advent of computer animation gave studios even more ways to cut corners! One of these is using computer graphics to portray a complex object in movement, like a giant monster or a vehicle. CG can look beautiful and blend seamlessly with 2D art, but at a lower budget... it doesn’t tend to turn out well. Anyone who remembers Initial D will know exactly what we mean.
Initial D First Stage

Takumi Fujiwara’s tofu delivery runs are way more intense than he initially bargained for: his father challenges him to drive around a mountain pass at top speed without spilling the cup of water sitting on his dashboard. The local street-racing scene notices his talents, and soon, he finds himself entwined in the high-stakes game of drift racing. These days, Initial D is best known for its Eurobeat soundtrack, hilariously over-the-top scenarios, and bad CG cars. To be fair, it’s from the late ‘90s, but the transition between flat 2D characters and low-poly cars zooming along mountain roads is jarring to say the least. Though even today, it’s still very difficult to find a happy marriage between 2D and 3D animation in anime.
Initial D Anime Trailer Full Version
Final Thoughts
Sakuga is all about spectacle – it doesn’t affect the story or even necessarily the overall quality of a show, but it does provide the kind of amazing experience that we crave from anime. Whether or not it’s worth the stunted effort for the less important animation is something that can be debated series by series, but we’re just glad we get our sakuga moments at all. What are your favorite sakuga scenes? And, just for fun, what are your favorite clichés of bad corner cutting animation? Let us know in the comments, and thanks so much for reading!

[Adorably Awkward Spring 2018] Like Tsurezure Children? Watch This!

Tsurezure Children shocked us last year with some of the cutest—and strange—short romance stories that made us smile and laugh as each episode played. We wished that Tsurezure Children went on for a 100+ episodes, but alas, it ended leaving us hoping that 2018 would bring more shows like it. Luckily, the anime gods above blessed our eyes and ears with several shows that are quite similar to Tsurezure Children! Today, we plan on talking about these shows—two of them in particular—that should be on your watch list! Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii might be full length episodes, unlike Tsurezure Children, but these romances stories embody what we loved about our short romance tales and we know you’re going to like them both! Welcome everyone to our article cleverly titled Adorably Awkward Spring 2018, Like Tsurezure Children? Watch This!
[ad_top2 class="mt40"]
Liked Tsurezure Children? Watch Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai!

Through the viewfinder, Mitsuyoshi Tada attempts to capture beauty in the form of cherry blossoms that have gone full bloom. While Tada can find the beauty of a lovingly taken shot, he unfortunately can’t find love in the same way. As he’s taking the shot, Tada meets a girl traveling abroad named Teresa Wagner and ends up helping her by taking her to his grandfather’s coffee shop. Little does Tada realize that this chance encounter might bring him the love he’s never known all along.
Major Similarities Between Tsurezure Children and Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai
1. Chance Encounter
Who doesn’t love a good romance tale that starts with the cliched—but still very sweet—random encounter that leads to friendship and something more? Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai captures that similarity of some of the relationships formed in Tsurezure Children and it makes both shows resonate brilliantly. Though don’t expect the randomness of Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai to be cliché like the theme, there’s more to this romance tale than meets the eye.

2. Slice of Life Comedy in every way
As ridiculous as Tsurezure Children was at times with it’s romance tales, there was still a reality to how life can sometimes be for a school student in love. Tada-kun Koi wo Shinai embraces this slice of life theme to make for people living their lives—even if they aren’t all living normal lives—to create a realistic feeling rom-com. Nothing beats a true to life story as it gives romantics a hope that they too can shape a romance from what seems like just a normal day outing.
[ad_middle]
Liked Tsurezure Children? Watch Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii!

Growing up is a reality we all face in life. Whether we are gamers or otaku, we must face adulthood as best as we humanely can. Both Momose Narumi and Nifuji Hirotaka understand this all too well as each one of these “adults” is unwilling to leave their loves behind. Though maybe this is a good thing as both Hirotaka and Narumi realize that loving one another for their hobbies and eccentrics is what matters most! Join them both as they work together, love together and enjoy their hobbies together in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii!
Major Similarities Between Tsurezure Children and Watch Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii
1. Quirky but Relatable characters
Though it might be hard to believe that real life people can be compared to anime ones, both Tsurezure Children and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii have main characters who are quite relatable. Gamers who spend hours playing and only a few sleeping and otaku who live for their romantic ships really exist here outside of anime and that’s why it’s easy to identify with characters from Tsurezure Children and Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii.

2. The Balance of Love
In Tsurezure Children, there are numerous characters—such as Gouda Takeru and Akagi Masafumi—who live lives less focused on love and on their personal endeavors. This same element is seen in Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii where gaming and anime comes second sometimes to work. Yet, both series show characters who realize the balances of love and life as they strive to do what needs to be done and still apply themselves to important things like school, sports and work. Though, equally some of these characters should try a bit harder to focus on the main things in life than the secondary elements.
Final Thoughts
Romance anime can come in sometimes overly extravagant ways or very grounded to reality. However, romance anime can also be like the shows we mentioned above where there’s an added theme of hilarious reality to make for some very fun to watch rom-coms with heart and laughter combined. Have you seen any of the three shows mentioned above? Tell us what your thoughts on them are in the comments down below! If you loved this LTWT article, be sure to keep stuck to our hive as we are continuously working on more here at Honey’s Anime!

Liked Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls)? Watch High School DxD Hero!

This is the 4th season of the High School DxD series. A lot has changed since season 1, including just how willing all the girls are to get physical with main character Issei! He’s certainly proved himself to be more than just a high school pervert. He’s a true dragon warrior whose burning passion for boobs grants him incredible power! As a servant of Rias, a noble demon with big ambitions and even bigger breasts, he will aid her in her quest to thwart the Chaos Brigade and protect their family.
Major Similarities Between Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou and High School DxD Hero
1. Fighting for Love
One of Kimihito’s more admirable traits is that not only is he willing to put himself in danger to protect his monster girls, he’ll go so far as to fight other people to protect them. He may seem a bit reserved and level-headed compared to Miia, who often resorts to violence when she’s upset. Yet, when it comes to humans verbally or physically accosting his girls, Darling has no second thoughts about punching their lights out. Issei from High School DxD Hero is even more violent and gets into battles more often but holds the same motivation as Kimihito: to keep his precious people safe. Both guys are somewhat at a disadvantage to the powerful women in their lives and often bear the brunt of their fury. Yet when it counts they both change from seemingly weak guys to manly protectors.
2. Clothing optional
Ecchi shows always find ways for convenient nudity such as slipping, barging in while someone’s changing, or clothes magically being ripped off. You’ll find that in both Monster Musume and High School DxD, the girls aren’t shy about just stripping down for no other purpose than the joy of being nude. Both Miia and Rias enjoy being naked around their male companion and often try to find excuses to be physically close. The other girls have their own reasons, being simply that they are used to being naked or they hope to get a rise out of the more reserved boys. There’s something very sexy about ambitious women flaunting their perfect bodies and, thankfully, both shows have plenty of it.

Liked Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou? Watch Tachibanakan Triangle (Love to Lie Angle)!

Hanabi is excited to start high school in her old hometown and thinks the familiarity from her childhood will be a relaxing contrast to her new school year. She’s in for way more surprises than she anticipates when she meets her new dormmates. Even her old childhood friends have changed quite a bit! Between a brazen woman who totes her sex toys around, a girl who shows more of her body than her feelings, and a childhood friend that would as soon slap her as she would kiss her, Hanabi is in for a tumultuous year at the Tachibanakan high school dorms!
Major Similarities Between Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou and Tachibanakan Triangle
1. I didn’t ask for a harem…
Just as Kimihito is shocked by each new addition in his home, the arrival of new characters similarly overwhelms Hanabi. They both are good natured and are considerate to everyone, even to those more naughty girls that like to tease them like Rachnera and Yuu. Kimihito is a guy and Hanabi is a girl, but they both have a harem of girls they may not have asked for, but aren’t exactly opposed to. Kimihito mentions getting aroused by the various monster girls around him even when he’s worried about breaking the Interspecies Exchange laws of sexual relations between species. Similarly, Hanabi confesses to Iori her aversion to being so physical comes more from embarrassment than disinterest. When getting fondled, both Kimihito and Hanabi get turned on. They’re just less aggressive than their lusty comrades.
2. Under the same roof
What could be more convenient (or nerve-wracking) than a harem of cute girls living with you? It’s so easy to see other girls naked when they’re in their own home and you never have to worry about sleeping alone when a lonely girl is just down the hallway! While Kimihito and Hanabi may not be so ambitious, their housemates are more than bold enough to take advantage of their close quarters. Another bonus for the viewer is that multiple girls easily show up in the same scene without it feeling weird or forced. When it comes to ecchi comedies, the more, the merrier!
Final Thoughts
Be it the touching moments, the crazy jokes, or the multitude of wonderful women baring their hearts and their bodies, Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou is a fantastic show. If you’ve felt a void since watching it, never fear! For 2018 has gifted us with both High School DxD Hero and Tachibanakan Triangle. Let us know what you think in the comments!

MUSYNX for Nintendo Switch Trailer

Who it Caters to

Whenever you visit an arcade, most of the time it’s filled with a plethora of games to play ranging from your typical racing game, to the fighting games, and then of course, the rhythm games. The latter of which only seem to cater to those who truly have a taste for music and have a knack for staying with the beat at all times. It’s certainly not a genre for everyone but those who fancy the rhythm games know exactly what I’m referring to when I say that the satisfying feeling you get after receiving a S rank on your favorite song is priceless. There aren’t that many titles out there that truly provide that exhilarating feeling like rhythm games, where every beat you successfully hit just adds more momentum to the thrill, where every mastered song creates this endless euphoria and the emotions you feel after landing a huge combo with no misses is beyond riveting.
This brings us to MUSYNX, a rhythm game title created by the great folks over at I-Inferno and published by PM Studios, alongside acttil. X.D. Networks may ring a bell to you as they’re the same team who helped publish ICEY, and once you pick up and play MUSYNX there’s a little surprise waiting for you. So who does MUSYNX cater to? Anyone who really enjoys music, lots of challenging rhythms and just a game with nonstop fun. You’ll simply get hooked once you start getting used to things and believe me, it’s hard to put down after awhile.

What to Expect

MUSYNX is a title created by a upcoming Chinese development team who’ve put a great deal of effort into making MUSYNX the awesome title that it is. With its simple UI, incredibly vibrant color scheme and mixture between Japanese and Chinese pop culture music, MUSYNX takes the player on an adventure unlike any other rhythm game out there. The game has two modes to choose from, the first being EZ Mode while the other being the more challenging Hard Mode (HD for short), and in total, there are over 90 songs from the start! You’ll find vocaloid tracks, 8bit retro tracks, rock and so much more, with more content coming down the pipeline. The layout on the Nintendo Switch is quite simple though not as easy to master when compared to the physical arcade cabinet.

There are two modes, 4K and 6K, with 4K being suited more to the handheld mode, while 6K is better suited for those who enjoy playing on the big screen. Whatever your choice is really doesn’t rob of you of the experience but rather, both provide their own unique style that anyone playing can enjoy. So whether you’re on the go or just chilling at home on the bed, MUSYNX is a game that you can bob your head to at any given time. Every song comes with its own beautifully crafted backdrop that compliments the music being played, and just adds another element of satisfaction as you aim for the high score. MUSYNX is truly the new music sensation and what better console to have it on than Nintendo’s Switch! Now that you know what to expect in this hardcore rhythm title, let’s dive more into the gameplay!

Gameplay

As we said earlier, MUSYNX is a game catered to fans of the rhythm game genre but anyone can take part in the hype and learn as they play. The one major feature lacking is a tutorial mode and so those who are coming into the game for the first time may find things to be a little intimidating. Fear not because, unlike other rhythm games where if you score too many misses it results in a game over, MUSYNX places more emphasis on the music itself and not so much on the perfection of the track. It encourages you to make those early missteps so that you can continuously go back to really master that song and really give you that true feeling of reward, rather than beating yourself up for getting a game over all the time. It can be quite demoralizing for sure which perhaps it’s why the team decided to opt out on it and place more attention on the fun, rather than the strict timing of things. Not that timing isn’t important because it still is, but it’s not as strenuous and so you can get away with mashing buttons if you find yourself slipping up a few times.

So in a way, the entire game itself is a tutorial since there are tracks which start from level 1 and go upwards to level 5 or more, and so, if you’re just starting out and want to maybe warm up your fingers, then level 1 is the way to go. Once you feel a little more comfortable and confident with your abilities, moving up a level or two may be of greater benefit. The layout in 4K is very straightforward as you have only 4 buttons to rely on, and they can be customized in the menu to your liking. Since the buttons on the Nintendo Switch are naturally small, it’ll require you to make sure your layout is comfortable enough so that you don’t end up missing buttons along the way, so one suggestion is to place two actions on the shoulder buttons since your index finger naturally stays there. You also have a speed functionality that you can edit before playing a song which can also make things a little easier for those just jumping in for the first time, but those with a knack for the rhythm can increase it at their leisure.

Now MUSYNX wouldn’t be a rhythm game without the touch screen, which fortunately the Nintendo Switch has! So beginners can play on the 4K while the more experienced players can tackle their favorite songs in 6K and touch their way to victory. We said earlier that 6K looks a lot better on the big screen, but of course, you can’t touch your TV unless you have a touch screen TV, in which case forget what we just said. For those folk who can’t cough up the dough for such technology just place your Switch on a table and tap away at your pleasure, and watch as the score rises as well as your energy levels! The cutesy art style is also something to relish over because it really just brings out that inner child, and releases a lot of tension. Rhythm games have always been known to increase your reaction time and brain power, so pick this game up after a long day at work to really recharge your mind and have a blast doing so!

Honey's Gameplay Consensus:

Aside from that, MUSYNX is a pretty straightforward title with no added features. It sticks to the point and does a fabulous job in doing so, not throwing in too much to confuse you but have just enough to entice you to come back for just one more play (which ends up turning into more hours invested). The Sound Enhancer mode helps to enhance your performance, with the auto function allowing the music to play automatically with each beat. This is catered to those starting out while turning the enhancer down to weak or off are for the master players who rely on no enhancement, and are just godlike. All of these helpful explanations are found in the manual menu of the game which are laid out quite simply, and very easy to understand. The main selling point of MUSYNX is its incredibly vast assortment of music to choose from, which to be honest is quite unheard of in most rhythm titles that have come out as of late. Your ears will bask in joy and your hand-eye coordination will vastly improve, so not only is MUSYNX great to play, it’s a great tool to enhance the mind!

Honey's Pros:
- Beautifully designed backgrounds for each song played.
- Very anime driven and cutesy!
- Very simple and straightforward UI, along with a nice manual to help newcomers.
- No game over screen is quite relieving, especially for those starting out and don’t want to feel intimidated.
- Hours and hours of nonstop fun. Over 90 songs!! (92 in total)
Honey's Cons:
- No online features at the moment.
Honey's Final Verdict:
MUSYNX is one Nintendo Switch title you don’t want to ignore because it comes with all the bells and whistles that truly make a rhythm game shine. It has an incredible library of tracks to choose from, a mode for beginners, intermediate and masters to test out, and just a really awesome UI to stare at all day. We hope you found this review to be insightful and provided enough information to help encourage your purchase decision. Who it Caters to

Though the Nintendo Switch has tons of great games already, there is never a point where one says you don’t need anymore. We say that because one more awesome game—and we’ll tell you why in our review—has joined the Nintendo Switch library. Called Lost in Harmony, this spin on the atypical rhythm-based game makes strides to separate itself from the pack. What does it actually do though and why do we think it so impressive? If you love rhythm games and yearn to see why we love Lost in Harmony, you’ll just have to continue reading down below to find out more.
What to Expect

Lost in Harmony is a fusion of two different gameplay genres. Mixing runner gameplay with rhythmic themes, players will need to avoid dangers left and right all while hitting notes on screen. Lost in Harmony also contains over 30 tracks/songs to enjoy through not one but two stories. Witness art with music collide together in Lost in Harmony. Think you’re ready for it?
[ad_top2 class="mt40 mb40"]
Story

Lost in Harmony contains two different stories. Kaito’s Adventure tells the tale of a young man named Kaito who find himself dealing with an ill girlfriend—Aya—and the trials and tribulations as they come. The other story called M.I.R.A.I.’s Escape, shows a robot who rebels against his creator and makes for a literal escape. Both stories involve characters running and fighting through their ordeals and equally must overcome the challenges life has in store for them. Can Kaito and Aya endure her unknown ailment? Will M.I.R.A.I. be able to run from his wannabe assailants? Find out as you enter the musical odyssey known as Lost in Harmony!
Gameplay

Musical based video games have found a surge in popularity ever since the day of RockBand or Guitar Hero. Not too long after, many companies began to think of ways to take the simple rhythm-based gameplay seen in those games and tweak them to creature unique gaming titles. Unfortunately, with so many games doing this, there has come a point in time where we here at Honey’s Anime have witnessed almost all types of rhythm-based games and prayed for something new. That’s why developer Digixart’s Lost in Harmony game intrigued us and we were more than happy to pick up our Nintendo Switch and give it a try. What did we think of Lost in Harmony? That’s what we’re about to discover in our review of Lost in Harmony.
Originally, Lost in Harmony was actually a IOS/Android game, but it eventually found its way to the Nintendo Switch and PC. The main idea of Lost in Harmony is to choose between two stories—Kaito’s Adventure and M.I.R.A.I’s Escape—and play 12+ chapters that each feature a unique stage and unique song/track. This might seem common, right? Well, folks, Lost in Harmony does some different things with how it executes its gameplay that makes for some rather interesting and cool gameplay ideas/themes.
Lost in Harmony is one-part runner game—players run towards the screen while avoiding dangers and obstacles—and another part rhythm game. Regardless of the story you choose—though we recommend Kaito’s Adventure for a quite emotional tale and M.I.R.A.I’s Escape for some wicked tracks—the game will remain the same. Escape various threats that appear on screen and hit musical notes—via the face buttons—when they appear. Your goal is to hit 50% of the bar on the top right and hitting notes/collecting stardust—lines on screen that appear—make it raise while taking damage and missing notes makes the bar lower. Due to the mixture of both genres, Lost in Harmony can be quite frantic and that makes for an exciting gameplay experience. We had a blast learning to balance between running away from threats on screen and hitting notes when they rapidly began to appear. Lost in Harmony isn’t the hardest rhythm game around, but on normal, it gave us a bit of a challenge; hard mode was tough to say the least.
Now what matters most for rhythm games is the music and art, at least in our opinion. Staring at blank screens or non-moving images makes for boring rhythm games, but luckily, that isn’t the case with Lost in Harmony. Not only does Lost in Harmony look incredible with beautiful art, animation and settings, but most of the tracks are pretty good. If we had a complaint with the tracks/songs it would be about Kaito’s Adventure as most of the songs—with the exception of a few—are just classic melodies remixed and altered to fit chaotic dream sequences. M.I.R.A.I.’s Escape has the best track selection if you’re into electronica and EDMS-like music. There are 30+ songs in Lost in Harmony and for the most part about 85% of them are solid which our minds makes for a good music game overall.
Wrapping up our gameplay portion of our review, if we had any complaints about Lost in Harmony—which we really don’t—it might be that the runner aspects of the game can be a bit…tough. Runner games excel being able to narrowly escape dangers that appear thanks to just the right amount of space to avoid obstacles. Lost in Harmony sometimes feels unfair with its obstacles and often it will take extreme reflexes—or memory of the level—to avoid obstacles. There are warning icons that appear but even with those too, sometimes moving out of harm’s way feels nigh impossible. Is this a big deal? Not really, but for those who want to master Lost in Harmony be prepared for a challenge indeed.
[ad_middle class="mt40 mb40"]
Honey's Gameplay Consensus:

Lost in Harmony might not have the most impressive tracks for a rhythm game—more so in Kaito’s Adventure—but the tale told makes each track feel like an epic odyssey it claims to be. Both tales are told with interesting concepts and themes that hit you in the emotions and hang on tight. Meanwhile, the actual rhythm gameplay works splendidly making you react as you escape danger and hit the notes to keep your score up high. Needless to say, Lost in Harmony is a phenomenal game for a price that leaves no excuse not to play it. If you have been craving a slightly different music rhythm game then look no further, folks. Digixart Entertainment has provided that for you in the form of Lost in Harmony.
Honey's Pros:
- Excellent stories especially Kaito’s Adventure
- Solid tack selection in M.I.R.A.I’s Escape
- Awesome rhythm/runner gameplay
- Emotional story that will tug at your heartstrings
- Extremely affordable price
Honey's Cons:
- Some of the tracks could have been stronger in Kaito’s Adventure
- Can be quite hard to sometimes react to some of the environmental threats.
Honey's Final Verdict:

There are hundreds of rhythm games out there, but Lost in Harmony stands above the best as a unique title. This hybrid runner/rhythm game not only tells an emotional set of stories but equally, has some awesome songs with a clever twist on the rhythm game formula that has been done to death. We highly recommend picking up Lost in Harmony as the $6.99 price tag utters a purchase. Are you thinking of picking up Lost in Harmony and giving it a run? Tell us why in the comments below as we love to hear from you all. For more game reviews and news articles be sure to keep stuck to our hive here at Honey’s Anime!

Who it Caters to

Acting as the trilogy conclusion, Muv-Luv Alternative wraps up Takeru’s story as he once more begins his battle against the strange and deadly alien enemy called BETA. Those who wanted more out of Takeru’s struggle and needed a true ending to the series will want to experience what Muv-Luv Alternative has to offer. Unlike the past two titles, Muv-Luv Alternative is a darker tale focused more on drama then high school comedy and romance. While those elements aren’t completely removed, Muv-Luv Alternative aims to give fans a finale that will stick with you days or even months after completion. Those who played the first two Muv-Luv games will no doubt wish to re-enter the tale and head for the finale offered only by Muv-Luv Alternative.
What to Expect

Unlike Muv-Luv Extra and Unlimited—which both were contained in the first release—Muv-Luv Alternative is focused on telling a drama filled story that focuses less on comedy and more on dramatic romances and sci-fi themed survival. However, what hasn’t changed from the first two stories is the gripping narrative that has you staring at your PS Vita in constant shock and awe. Takeru and his friends are back one last time and this time, he needs to make moves to keep not only himself alive but them as well. It’s a race against time for Takeru as he restarts his two years in this new world. Can he save his friends and change the world? If you want to know then you’re going to have to dive into this hell with Takeru and play Muv-Luv Alternative!
[ad_top2 class="mt40 mb40"]
Story

Takeru thought his life was over after he was left behind when the ships carrying the remnants of humanity took to space. However, as Takeru’s final moments played out, he suddenly woke up once more in his familiar bedroom. For reasons unknown, Takeru has been given a second chance and has found himself still in this alternate world that is unlike the peaceful school days he so dearly misses. Yet, with this second chance, Takeru has the ability to save his friends and the world from the alien threat knowing what will come to pass if things don’t get accomplished in time. Rushing off to redo 2 years of work, Takeru heads back towards his fate with hopes he change the future.
Gameplay

Several days ago, we here at Honey’s Anime reviewed the PS Vita release of Muv-Luv which contained two games out of three. Many have wondered how does Muv-Luv end and is the ending worth shelling out $39.99 for a third game? Well folks, we here at Honey’s Anime have played Muv-Luv Alternative and now can tell you if you should or shouldn’t. Ready for more Muv-Luv? Then get ready for our review of Muv-Luv Alternative for the PS Vita.
In case you missed our review of Muv-Luv—which we strongly recommend reading to avoid spoilers—we’ll explain how Muv-Luv works as a trilogy. The first game—called Muv-Luv—contains with it two games. The first game—Muv-Luv Extra—is about Takeru wooing several girls and finding his potential soul mate. However, Muv-Luv Unlimited is a very different romance story as it switches from being all comedy and becomes more drama filled and sci-fi orientated. We won’t spoil the reason for the shift, but we do recommend if you care about spoilers and story, to go and play the first two Muv-Luv games before going any further with this review…Okay, if you’re still here you have been warned.
Muv-Luv Alternative stars Takeru yet again, but like other sci-fi themed movies and books, he has found himself reawakening 2 years prior to the conclusion of Muv-Luv Unlimited. Now, Takeru realizes the planet’s doomed fate and tries to prevent some of the key events that lead to humanity's downfall. Right away, players of the original Muv-Luv stories will see that Muv-Luv Alternative isn’t going for the silly themes found in Extra and goes for a similar narrative to that of Unlimited. However, if you loved Extra and didn’t care for Unlimited’s switch you might have issues with Muv-Luv Alternative. Yet, if you loved the sci-fi twist, then you’re most likely going to love Muv-Luv Alternative.
The main brunt of gameplay for Muv-Luv Alternative remains the same as before. Players read and occasionally choose between various options that lead the story in slightly different ways. Muv-Luv Alternative unfortunately—seeing as its more drama filled and is leading to a true finale—has less choices that matter ultimately. With 5 endings, Muv-Luv Alternative has only some choices that actually affect which ending you get and require multiple reloads—as you should always save when making choices—to get all the endings. This is a bit of a let down as Muv-Luv Extra and Unlimited felt more altered by your choices, but it’s not a deal breaker, folks. Muv-Luv Alternative still gives you some solid choices and the more streamlined story makes it more obvious—at times—of where a choice will lead you.
Finally, let’s wrap up this review for Muv-Luv Alternative by talking about the animation, graphics and sound. Animation wise, Muv-Luv Alternative remains about the same as Extra and Unlimited with slightly dated designs but some great style that make Muv-Luv Alternative feel like an anime similar to the other two games. What also hasn’t changed from Muv-Luv Extra/Unlimited is the phenomenal voice work and music which keeps every piece of narrative engrossing in all the right ways. The same voice actors and actresses return and we couldn’t be happier here at Honey’s Anime. Also, let us mention that the opening for Muv-Luv Alternative is just incredible seriously.
[ad_middle class="mt40 mb40"]
Honey's Gameplay Consensus:

Muv-Luv Alternative isn’t like Extra or Unlimited, and in some ways, that helps make this visual novel a bit more serious in terms of narrative and story. However, with a more focused story on drama, Muv-Luv Alternative loses a bit of the comedy that Muv-Luv Extra or even Unlimited had and that might turn off some. Though for us here at Honey’s Anime, this shift in tone actually helps make for a more immersive story that has you rooting for its characters and hoping for a better conclusion then Takeru’s original fate. For those who need that conclusion to this trilogy, you’re going to want to play Muv-Luv Alternative and when you do, you won’t regret it. While not perfect, Muv-Luv Alternative hits the right notes to create a truly solid visual novel conclusion that we here at Honey’s Anime recommend fully.
Honey's Pros:
- Great story with strong narration
- Still love the animated CGs that make this VN feel like an anime
- Wonderful voice acting
- Several endings to unlock
Honey's Cons:
- Lack of choices that feel important versus the original two games
- Animation and art can still look a bit dated here and there
- Loss of comedy for a more drama filled story might annoy some
Honey's Final Verdict:

While Muv-Luv Alternative isn’t the perfect visual novel in comparison to the first two games—which we enjoyed slightly more—it still is a great finale to a truly wonderful trilogy. If you love visual novels that can change genres and still be amazing, then you’re no doubt going to enjoy Muv-Luv Alternative and what it offers. Are you excited to pick up Muv-Luv Alternative now that you read our review? Let us know in the comments below and feel free to ask questions about Muv-Luv Alternative if you have any! This is the 2nd Season of Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu.
The era where humanity’s lifestyle domain and desires have expanded to include space.
Desiring freedom, humans have taken to the skies to live. There, they have cultivated their knowledge and culture further. However, before they realize it, they have become a threat to the Earth.
In the Space Era year 0156, The Earth Federation Government has established contact for the fourth time in history, known as the “4th note,” with the grandmother planet Granmarth. However in the same year, the disputes with the Citizens of Metus have proceeded at full tilt.
The fight is unending and the victims continued to increase…
In the middle of said war, to break the deadlock, a gallant young boy descended to the battlefield. His name was Subaru Ichinose.
He was the young, handsome, top-ranked genius, ace pilot of the space battleship “Tiramisu.”
Humanity’s hopes were entrusted to him.
However, his true form, that within the Tiramisu, is one of a young man who could not adjust to communal life. He’s always shut away in the cockpit of his personal mecha, Durandal.
Three Episode Impression
[ua_synopsis text="Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu is nothing different from what we have written above. The main character is a wunderkind pilot able to take out even the most dangerous foes. He just sucks at human interaction and has zero emotional maturity. Expect a lot of humor based off of that. If it’s not your cup of tea, then steer clear. Otherwise, it’s about him in space being slightly neurotic about everything that he has to overcome, as the slightest inconvenience has enough power to completely shut him down. The episodes are only 10 minutes a pop, so if you are looking for something to kill your time while you wait for something else to come out, then go for it. You should enjoy this series as long as you do not raise the bar too high for a 10 minute comedy about chuunibyou."][en]Characters & Voice Actors List[/en][es]Personajes & Seiyuus[/es]

The latter part of the Meiji Period.
Saichi Sugimoto, known as “Invincible Sugimoto” and the hero of the Russo-Japanese war, has headed to Hokkaido in order to get his hands on a massive amount of gold for a certain purpose. It is an enormous amount of gold that was stolen from the Ainu people. This has suddenly presented itself to Saichi as a way for him to make a killing quickly.
The stolen gold has been concealed by the imprisoned men of Abashiri Prison and the clues for the location of it are tattoos that have been carved into the bodies of 24 prisoners within the prison.
On such an occasion, Saichi is attacked by a brown bear and is saved by a single Ainu girl. Her name is Asirpa, and the man who stole the gold killed her father. In response to Saichi’s movements, the strongest division of the north, the Seventh Division, has already been working for some time in the shadows to steal the stolen gold for themselves. And at the same time, the actions of the tattooed prisoners has also come to fruition.
Three Episode Impression
[ua_synopsis text="Ho boy. Let’s just start this one out by saying that I’m mad that the series only has 13 episodes. I could watch this in lieu of other big shounen shows that never ever seem to end and are generic. Here’s why: Golden Kamuy brilliantly tows the line between action, adventure, gritty darkness, and oddly, comedy. There are heartwarming moments as well as moments that get your pulse running. Asirpa is a very likeable character and makes an excellent addition to the main character archetype that is Sugimoto. Sugimoto is likeable even though he’s the stubborn yet likeable while being smart and stupid at the same time, main character. Kinda sad that Yoshitake has not some back. We really like all his antics. Hopefully he will come back though. Let’s look forward to more!"][en]Characters & Voice Actors List[/en][es]Personajes & Seiyuus[/es]

Due to his remarkable military exploits during the Russo-Japanese War, he became known as “Invincible Sugimoto” for his fierce, god-like fighting style. The “invincible” part comes from his uncommon amount of courage to always find a way out of any near-death situation and he had astounding resilience. In order to carry out the dying wish of his best friend who was slain in battle, he heads to Hokkaido excited about the Gold Rush there. When he arrives, he learns about the existence of buried gold that has been stolen from the Ainu people. There, this competition between himself, the Seventh Division of the Army which boasts of its overwhelming power, and fiendish prisoners who have escaped from their prison, begins to expand." img='']

Her father was killed by the person who stole the Ainu gold, and so in order to avenge him, she begins to travel with the Saichi whom she recognizes as an excellent fighter. For this reason, he has tools like nails and wires hidden all over his body as a countermeasure.
